HashTab is a free & simple to use utility which offers support for context menu integration for helping you check file integrity of CRC32, MD5 and SHA-1. These are the most common hashes that are used to verify the authenticity of files. Many download sites list the MD5 hash along with the download link, so you can make sure that your downloaded file is unhampered. You can download HashTab from it’s official website (click here)
HashTab integrates itself in to Windows and always runs in background with very little usage of resources. Once installed on Windows, simply right-click on the file you want to check, hit “Properties” and look for the “File Hashes” tab. Just like the video right after the break.
As you can see in the video above, HashTab works very fast and easy to accessible as it is already integrated into the “File Properties” menu so you don’t need to launch a dedicated application and then browse select the file you want to check. HashTab offers support for every Windows OS since Windows XP up to Windows 8.1
